In order that the system can process dates at item level, you need to have assigned the correct date profile to the item category.

Keep the following notes in mind for passing on dates:

  • If the same date is assigned at item level as at header level, the dates in the header are taken over at the item level. They are not re-determined.
  • If a different date profile is assigned at the item level than at the header level, the following applies:
  • the date types, for which date rules exist are re-determined at the item level.

  • the date types, for which there are no date rules are taken over from the header, if possible. (If no date is determined at the header level, this field also remains empty at item level!)

If dates at the item level differ from the header, they are not passed on when date changes are made at the header level.

A date profile must be assigned to a quotation item in which at least the date types valid from and valid to are contained.

You have created a date profile with date types, durations, date rules.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Double-click to choose an item category in the initial screen (Definition of transaction types).
  2. Enter the date profile in the date profile field which is to be valid for this item category.
