CRMC_IC_CTXTPROF - Define Context Area Profile
BAL_S_LOG - Application Log: Log header data General Material DataThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this Customizing activity, you can create context area profiles that you then assign to business roles.
A context area profile includes the following:
- Context area component assignment
- A context area component is one of the individual parts that make up the context area. For example, the Alertssection is a context area component.
- Polling profile
- You assign a polling profile for each context area profile that you create. Polling is used to check the server for events relevant to the client, such as alerts or broadcast messaging. The polling profile allows you to set the polling frequency.
- If you activate the usage of the ABAP Push Channel in the polling profile, the server informs the Web browser about events like an incoming phone call immediately and directly, without frequent polling cycles. Your Web browser type and version determine whether the ABAP Push Channel technology is supported for your system.
The default context area profile DEFAULT is delivered with the system and assigned to the CONTEXTAREA function profile, which is in turn assigned to the standard IC_AGENT business role.
- Create a new context area profile by copying an existing profile, such as DEFAULT. When prompted, copy all dependent entries.
- In Assign Context Area Components, select the components to be included in the context area profile and indicate whether or not each one has a visible border.
- In Define Polling Profile, create a new polling profile by copying an existing profile and then indicating the polling frequency in milliseconds. For example, a polling frequency of 1000 means that polling occurs every second.
Note: If you do not assign a polling profile to the context area profile, or if the polling profile you assign does not have polling frequency defined, the default polling profile is automatically assigned. To disable polling for a context area profile, create a polling profile with polling disabled and no polling frequency defined.
