In this Customizing activity, you maintain the design layer object from where the mapping fields for the Data Import Tool (DIT) are selected.

You have activated the business function, Utility Energy Retailer 2 (CRM_UT_ER_2).

You can define mapping between the application objects and the design layer to make certain changes to the user interface (UI) such as, hiding a field or displaying new text. You can also use this to define hierarchy of sub-objects.

You define mapping by maintaining the following parameters for every Application type:

• Object type - UI object used to maintain the business object and the design object. The design object is finally used to get the list of mapping attributes.

• Root object type - Object used to define the hierarchy of the objects defined in the object type column.

SAP provides Technical Object as the Application. You can also create your own application type.
