CRMC_MKTPL_DEALG - Check Data Volume for Deal Generation

The Generate Deals pushbutton can generate huge volumes of data if a large business partner hierarchy is used. To prevent too many deal objects being generated, a check is performed before generation takes place. This check uses the warning and error numbers defined in this Customizing setting.

When the user selects Generate Dealsand generates down to a given level, the system first calculates the number of deals that would be generated. If this number is:

• Greater than the error number, an error message is displayed telling the user to select a smaller level

• Greater than the warning number and smaller than the error number, a warning popup is displayed telling the user that the number of deals to be generated can affect system performance and do they want to continue or choose again.

• Smaller or equal to the warning number, then generation can start without the user receiving a message
