You can create custom determination rules in addition to the rules delivered by SAP.

For determination rules belonging to rule category responsibilityyou define the organizational units responsible for the rule container attributes on the Responsibilities tab page.

Each rule has a rule container containing values on which rule resolution is based.

Organizational data determination uses the values in the rule container to select a partial quantity of the possible organizational units responsible for a transaction.

SAP recommends that you use one of the delivered determination rules. You can also create new determination rules. There are two wizards available for this under Wizards for Organizational Data Determination.
