CRMC_ORGMAN_006 - Assign Organizational Data Profile to the Item Category

In this Customizing activity, you can define the system behavior regarding the organizational data at item level of a business transaction. The following scenarios are possible:

• There is no organizational data at item level.

In this case the organizational data is not displayed in the business transaction.

• The organizational data is copied from the header level.

If you do not want organizational data to exist or be displayed at item level, do not assign an organizational data profile to the item category.

If you want the header organizational data to be inherited by an item, assign an organizational data profile to the corresponding item category. Ensure that no determination rule (standard role) is assigned to the organizational data profile.

Organizational data determination only takes place at header level because the organizational data at item level cannot differ from the data at header level. For this reason, you cannot assign an organizational data profile with its own determination rule (standard role) to an item category.

At item level, the division is not read from the responsible organizational unit but from the product. If the product is not assigned to a division, the item is not assigned to a division.
