You can use this Customizing activity in the context of Shared Services Center scenarios to create an application ID and assign it to logical systems.

The application ID you define in this Customizing activity is used to populate the input help of the Application ID assignment in the Launch Transactions details that you can maintain in the Customizing activity Copy/Delete Launch Transactions.

When assigned, the application ID helps to identify an transaction launcher and the application it calls. For example, you can identify a transaction launcher that calls ERP Human Capital Management.

The default implementation of BAdI: Launch Transactions must be active.

By default, the following application IDs and their mappings to logical systems are available:

• SAP Dispute Mgmt, SAP Credit Mgmt, SAP Collections Mmgt (ERP_DC)

• Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Controlling (ERP_FIN)

• Human Capital Management (ERP_HCM)

• Sales and Distribution (ERP_SD)

• Travel Management (ERP_TV)

• Choose an application ID and maintain the assigned logical system or systems.

• Choose New Entries, create an application ID and assign logical system or systems.
