CRMC_TAX_MAP - Assign Tax Groups to SAP ECC Tax Classifications (Product)
BAL_S_LOG - Application Log: Log header data PERFORM Short ReferenceThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Use
In this IMG activity, you assign SAP CRM product tax groups to the corresponding tax classifications from the SAP ECC material master.
This ensures that the system can replicate products from SAP CRM to SAP ECC, and materials from SAP ECC to SAP CRM.
The SAP ECC material master only supports tax classifications at national level. It does not support them at regional level. If, in an SAP CRM product, you enter a tax type and tax group at regional level, the system cannot replicate that data to SAP ECC.

Example
In Germany, most products are subject to the full rate of VAT (value-added tax); some, such as basic foodstuffs, are taxed at a reduced rate; others are not taxed at all.
In SAP ECC, you have created the tax category MWST to represent VAT, with the following tax classifications:
Classification | Description |
---|---|
0 | No tax |
1 | Full tax |
2 | Half tax |
In SAP CRM, you have created the tax type MWST to represent VAT, with the following product tax groups:
Tax Group | Description |
---|---|
FULL | Full tax |
HALF | Half tax |
NONE | No tax |
In this IMG activity, you map the SAP ECC tax classifications to the SAP CRM tax groups as follows:
Country | Tax Type | Tax Group | Tax Seq.* | Tax Class. |
---|---|---|---|---|
DE | MWST | FULL | 1 | 1 |
DE | MWST | HALF | 1 | 2 |
DE | MWST | NONE | 1 | 0 |
*If you are not sure about the sequence of the taxes, you can check it in SAP ECC, in Customizing for Sales and Distribution (SD), by choosing Basic Functions -> Taxes -> Define Tax Determination Rules.
