In the Define Parameters Customizing activity under UI Framework, you can create parameters that are simple key/value pairs.

In the standard system for Service, the following parameters are additionally delivered:

  • ALT_PRODUCT_EVH
  • ATTACHMENT_REFRESH
This parameter shows the Refreshpushbutton on the Attachmentassignment block. Using parameter value TRUE, you show the pushbutton. For more information, see Define Function Profile and Define Business Role.
  • CENTRAL_EDIT_ENABLED
This parameter shows the Editpushbutton on overview pages in the work area toolbar of the WebClient UI. You can use the pushbutton to set all assignment blocks on an overview page to change mode. Using parameter value TRUE, you show the pushbutton. For more information, see Define Function Profile and Define Business Role.
  • CONDITION_4_SUBJECT
This parameter enables you to use multiple subject elements, which can be combined with conditions, to create subject lines in personalized e-mails. Like the usage of text elements, you can also add attributes and provide different language versions for subject elements. You create subject elements, conditions, and language versions in the WebClient UI mail form application. The evaluation of business partners for the creation of personalized subject lines is processed during campaign execution.
Note that you must have activated the business function Marketing Productivity (CRM_MKT_PRD) to use all of the functions provided by this parameter.
  • CONTACT_NEW
  • CREATE_TG_ALLOWED
This parameter displays the Create Target Grouppushbutton on the accounts and contacts search pages (above the result list). You can use the pushbutton to create target groups containing accounts or contacts selected from the result list.
  • CRM_CM_COMMIT
This parameter specifies whether you can save or cancel attachment-related changes, together with a business object, with the corresponding SAVEor CANCELapplication function. If a business role supports the Content Management (CM) logic, the parameter can be set to Xand assigned via function profile PARAMETERSto the business role. This means that the business role does not contain applications based on a Knowledge Provider (KPro), such as Records and Case Management, that cannot use commit-enabled CM.
For a business role that contains a combination of CM Records and Case Management, we recommend that you do not set this parameter.
In the default setting, this parameter is not set, which means that attachments are saved straight away in direct mode.
  • ERP_OBJ_REF_LINK_UIU
  • GWS_DISABLED
  • IBCOMP_OBJ_MASS_UPD
This parameter specifies whether you can change the common attributes of multiple selected Installed Base Components as a mass process in the WebClient UI. These components should be object type components.
Using parameter value TRUE, you can enable the Mass Change button on the Object Componentsassignment block for these components.

  • IC_DEFAULT: If you assign this value, the IC agent sees a reduced set of buttons above the fax and letter editor on the fax and letter screens.

Note that you must enter these values in every language. Do not translate them (that is, you must use BTF_DEFAULT and IC_DEFAULT). Otherwise, the system defines the value as IC_DEFAULT. Also, if you do not enter any values, the system defines the value as IC_DEFAULT.

  • INCL_SUB_TERR
This parameter sets the value for the search criteria Include Sub-Territories to yeson the WebClient UI for all sales and service objects for which you can search using a territory as a search criterion.
In this Customizing activity, you need to add the parameter value INCL_SUB_TERRunder Parameter Assignment and select X to set the value to yes on the WebClient UI.
Note that this search criteria Include Sub-Territories is delivered as inactive on the WebClient UI; in order to display it on the WebClient UI, you need to enable it in the UI Configuration Tool by copying it from Available Search Criteria to Selected Search Criteria.
  • INTERACT_EMAIL_NEW
When you set this parameter to TRUE, a new service request is created. When this parameter is not set, an exisitng service request will open if there is one linked to the email.
  • MAIL_EDIT_BUTTON
This parameter allows you to set the default display of a mail form to read-only.
Set this parameter to TRUEto ensure that the mail form opens in read-only mode, and that you must use the Editpushbutton to edit the mail form. For more information, see SAP Note 1908837.
  • MA_PROPOSAL_DISABLED
  • NAV_TO_SOL_CONTRACTS
  • ONE_HIT_DIRECT_DISPL

You use the parameter value TRUEto activate the behavior described. For more information, see Define Function Profile and Define Business Role.

For more information about the issues occurring when switching sessions, see SAP Note 2291904.
  • SHOW_COMBINED_CONTR
  • TAG_CLOUDS_ALLOWED
This parameter specifies whether you can use tag clouds in the WebClient UI. With parameter value TRUE, tag clouds are enabled.
  • TRACKING_TEXT_MULTI
When you set this parameter to TRUE, a tracking text will be added when you reply to an email that already contains a tracking ID under the following circumstances:
  • The system determines the topmost tracking ID from the subject and body of the email (usually the most recent tracking ID). If this tracking ID matches the ID of the current service transaction, then this tracking text and ID are automatically inserted.

  • If the topmost ID in the email does not match the ID of the current service transaction, no automatic insert will take place. The agent can switch the mail thread from the first service request to the second by manually inserting the tracking text and ID of the second service transaction. If the customer replies again, the topmost tracking ID in the mail thread will represent the second service transaction and from then on the system will automatically insert this second tracking text and ID.

Note: The same top-down search applies to ERMS when doing tracking ID based on routing. ERMS will search the most recent tracking ID, starting at the top, to determine the service transaction to which the mail should be routed.
This parameter should only be used if you insert mail forms on top in the email threads.
For more information, see SAP Note 2222336.
