Integration of MS Office in the Portal Interface for Content Management allows you to change a Word document in the Portal. MS Word accesses the document in the Content Server using WebDAV.

To be able to access to correct the client, you need to define an external alias in the HTTP service tree. This is assigned here.

  1. First create an external alias in transaction SICF (CRM menu -> Basis Tools -> Administration -> Administration -> Network -> HTTP Service Hierarchy Maintenance):
  • Use target element: default_host/sap/crm/crm_bsp_webdav

  • Enter a client and, if required, anonymous logon data.

  1. Choose New Entries to assign aliases.
  2. Enter an alias for each required client. Each alias must access another client.
  3. Save your entries.
