CRMD_DAMGEN - Generate Search Criteria

You use this Customizing activity to generate the search criteria structure fields to be used in the Search Help user interface.

This Customizing activity is used for the following reasons:

• To get allowed values for search criteria STATUSand FILEFORMAT, provided by SAP, from a third party DAM system

• If the third party DAM system supports more search criteria than the standard criteria delivered by SAP.

In Customizing activity Define Parameters for Digital Asset Management, you have specified a parameter value for parameter DAMGENSTR NAMESPACE.

You have made settings for configuring and integrating enterprise services. For more information, see Set Up Integration with Third Party DAM Systems.

1. Specify the development package for your search criteria.
2. Specify the language of your search criteria by selecting it from the Languagedropdown list, or specify multiple languages by clicking Multiple selection.
3. To release the transport request automatically, select option Release request directly. If you do not select this, you can release the request manually.
4. Click Execute.

You can see the report execution log in transaction SLG1 for object CRM_DAM_INT.

If a third party DAM system supports digital asset search by CREATED BY search criteria, because this search criterion does not exist in search criteria supplied by SAP, you can use this Customizing activity to make the new search criterion CREATED BY available to the user in the search help user interface.
