SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity, you define the port code and filter criteria for SAP NetWeaver Master Data Management (MDM). The port code is the logical point of contact between SAP CRM or SAP ERP, and SAP NetWeaver MDM. The port contains all of the configuration and logistical information associated with inbound and outbound data processing from SAP CRM and SAP ERP. For each site subscription, you can maintain the filter criteria for the replication of data.

The following filter criteria are supported:

  • Product (Material, Service, and Warranty)
  • Product ID
  • Product Hierarchy
  • Sales Organization
  • Distribution Channel
  • Conditions: Condition Type
  • Attachments: Document Type

Sites have been created in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under CRM Middleware and Related Components → Communication Setup → Create Sites and Subscriptions. Sites are suppliers and recipients of data in a SAP CRM solution landscape. For each site, you must create one or more subscriptions for data exchange.

Defining MDM Port Codes

  1. Expand the Sitenode.
  2. Double click on Define Port.
  3. Enter the port code for the required components.
  4. Save your entries.

Defining Filter Criteria

  1. Expand a site node and its associated subscription node.
  2. From the context menu of the Criteria Values node choose Create Filter.
  3. Enter Filter, Description, and criteria values.
You can reuse a filter created for a subscription for the same subscription assigned to a different site by choosing Assign Criteria Value from the context menu of the Criteria Values node.
  1. Save your entries.

Once a filter criteria is created you cannot make any changes to it. To delete a filter criteria, double click on the Criteria Values node, select the filter and choose the Deletepushbutton.

If multiple filters exist for a subscription, then the system evaluates each filter and applies the first one for which the subscription satisfies the conditions.

Defining an FTP Server

Enter FTP server details to replicate product attachments to SAP NetWeaver MDM. This option is only available for a subscription created for the replication object CRM_DOC_MBDOC.
