CRMD_OPT_CSTIC - Define Mapping for Cancellation of Options

In this Customizing activity, you can map options (components of configurable products) to characteristics that you have defined in the product model in the product master data. The system uses this mapping in contract changes. If a contract change is started after the end date of a canceled option, this option is not visible as a subitem in the change order. This is achieved by setting the corresponding characteristic to a certain characteristic value.

You define the characteristic and the characteristic value that should be set in the configuration if the IC agent cancels an option.

You have set up the product model in the product master data.

You can leave the Product ID, KB Name, and KB Version columns empty if you want to map the characteristic for all products, knowledge bases (KB), and knowledge base versions.

After you have made the settings in this Customizing activity, you have to create the attributes TEC_OPT_CANC and TEC_OPT_ACTIVE in the product model. They are used to pass the list of canceled and active options to the configuration, to enable or disable the options on the user interface. You also have to create a condition in the product model that ensures that the canceled options are read-only in the product configuration. In your product model, you defined the option IST_ADSL_VIRUS_PROT. In this Customizing activity, you make the following settings:

Product ID: IST_TP

Option ID: IST_ADSL_VIRUS_PROT

KB Name: (empty)

KB Version: 1.0

Characteristic Name: VIRUS_PROTECT

Characteristic Value: VIRUS_PROTECTION_NO

These settings have the following effect: In knowledge base version 1.0 of any knowledge base, when the option IST_ADSL_VIRUS_PROT of the product IST_TP has reached the cancellation date, the characteristic VIRUS_PROTECT is set to the characteristic value VIRUS_PROTECTION_NO in the product configuration.
