In this IMG activity you determine the groups and subgroups to which a business partner in the pharmaceutical industry can belong.

In this way the business partner is classified by means of the attribute 'group'. The attribute "subgroup" divides a selected group into even smaller units.

Groups and subgroups can refer both to persons (for example, the relevant professions) and also to organizations.

The definition of the values for the subgroup depends on the selected group.

Several groups and subgroups are supplied as standard settings.

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. Enter the required data for the key and the description of the group.
The key is assigned manually, and consists of a sequence of up to four arbitrary characters.
  1. Set the relevant indicator for the business partner category.
  2. Then select the relevant group in the list and choose the entry subgroup with a double-click.
  3. Enter the necessary data for the creation of the subgroup in the same way as you did for the creation of the group.
  4. Save the data.
