In this IMG activity you define the search help for the different fact fields of the Financial Customer Care (FCC) for Public Sector.

Facts contain additional information on master data objects in the ERP system. They are a time-dependent collection of attributes that are configured in Customizing and are assigned to a master data object. In Public Sector Contract Accounting they are used for tax calculation and reporting at contract object level.

In the ERP system each fact field is related to the data dictionary via structure PSFACTS_FIELD_DESCRIPTORS. You can define a search help for each of these fields in the CRM system.

There are 3 ways of defining search helps:

  1. There is a check table in the CRM system
    In this case you specify the name of the check table in the CRM system, together with the name of the relevant key field and value field.
  2. There is a search help in the CRM system
    In this case you specify the name of the CRM search help and the output parameter for the CRM search help.
  3. There is no check table/search help in the CRM system
    In this case it is possible to read the values of a search help that exists in the ERP system directly.
Please note that this option should not be chosen, if the system has to read a lot of fact values from the ERP system.

The facts functionality for Public Sector is only available as of ERP 2005.

  1. Find out the field name for which you want to define a search help in the ERP system. To do so, check structure PSFACTS_FIELD_DESCRIPTORS.
  2. Enter the desired field name.
  3. If there is a check table for this field in CRM, enter the data in the fields CRM Check Table/Key Field/Value field.
  4. If there is an search help for this field in CRM, enter the data in the fields CRM Search Help/Output parameter
  5. If there is no check table/search help in CRM and it is not worth while creating one, mark the fieldRead ERP.
