CRMS4CV_EXTN_CAT - Define Category-Dependent Extensions for Locations and Objects

This Customizing activity is used in ICM Location and ICM Object to link customer extension fields to active categories. This is used to control the visibility of the custom fields on the location or object UI.

The custom fields assigned to the specific category are visible on the UI for display or modification. The unassigned custom fields are hidden by default.

You have an active categorization schema belonging to the application area ICM Location or ICM Object.

Note! Only the defined groups that have an active status are considered for the category-based extension feature in the UI.

1. Define extension groups

1. Enter the group ID and group description.
2. Assign the group to an application area.
3. Set a category by choosing an active category from the value help.
4. Set the group to active by marking the active indicator.

2. Assign extension fields

1. Assign one or more custom fields to the group or you can assign one custom field to multiple groups.
2. Ensure to avoid duplicate entries.
3. Note! Choose the possible values using value help only where ever applicable.
