CRMS4C_PARTNER - Optimize Custom Partner Functions for Queries

Define partner functions that are relevant for search, reporting, and analytical purposes.

You can define the partner functions that are relevant for search, reporting, and analytical purposes.

The different transaction types can have different partner functions represented by different codes (for example, 00000001-Sold-To Party, 00000009-Activity Partner or Z00000010- Service Provider). The business transaction header (for example, CRMS4D_SERV_H for service) and item tables contain the most important partner functions of the business transaction in individual custom fields. If you need additional date fields for reporting and analytical purposes, you can either map partner functions to the standard fields or create custom fields using the Custom Fields App and maintain the mapping in this customization.

You can use this customization in two ways:

Mapping the custom partner function to custom field

• Field SOLD-TO-PARTY is mapped to category 0001 - Sold-to Party

• Field SHIP_TO_PARTY is mapped to category 0002 – Ship-to Party

• Field BILL_TO_PARTY is mapped to category 0003 – Bill-to Party

• Field PAYER is mapped to category 003 – Payer

Note: Standard fields are mapped to the custom partner function category, therefore, only custom partner functions with the same category can be mapped.

Mapping the custom partner function to custom field

There are no restrictions; a partner function of any category can be mapped. If there are multiple partners with the same partner function category in a business transaction, then the partner (BP) with the main partner indicator set will be persisted in the field. You have to create two fields (in the persistence include) for a date which is not a milestone (and one field for a milestone), and one field for a duration, plus a field for the corresponding time unit (optional).

• Custom partner function and determination procedure are configured

• Custom field is created using the Custom Fields App

Navigate to the view Partner Function Mapping for Reporting in edit mode.

1. Insert a row.
2. Use the value help Field Name to select a field (created in the previous step).
3. Use the field help Partner Function to select the relevant partner function.
4. Save your entries.
