In this Customizing activity, you define type of IDs for categorization of technical resources.

This type specifies the kind of technical resource, the source and uniqueness of the technical resource, and the stage in subscription order or contract processing when it would be required.

To define these types, proceed as described in the following:

1. Enter the type and a relevant Description.
2. Enter a Categoryfor the source of the technical resource.
3. If the Categoryis set to Local, you may also perform a uniqueness check using the Uniquecheck box.
4. If the Category is set to Equipment, the IDs are to be derived based on the Equipment IDs maintained in the Object List and not maintained independently
5. Enter a Check Timeto determine when the technical resource is required during processing.

Standard settings

For example, IP addresses can be used as technical resources for identifying cloud subscription contracts.
