In this Customizing activity, you set up the partner processing for In-House Repair.

You must perform the instructions in this documentation that apply to the following Customizing activities in Customizing for Service:

This ensures that In-House Repair in SAP S/4HANA operates as expected.

For more information about the Customizing activities, see the documentation for the respective Customizing activity.

Define partner determination profile

In the Define Partner Determination Procedure Customizing activity, set up the procedures that are used to determine the business partners in the following business objects:

  • For in-house repairs, the procedure is used when an in-house repair is created in the Manage In-House Repairs app.
The business partners are then displayed under In-House Repair Details (Account and Team Responsible) in the Manage In-House Repairs app.
  • For repair orders, the procedure is used when a repair order is created for a repair object in the Perform Prechecks app or as follow-up for a repair quotation in the Manage Repair Quotations app.
The business partners are then displayed under Repair Order Details (General Data) and Organizational Data) in the Manage Repair Orders app.
  • For repair quotations, the procedure is used when a repair quotation is created in the Perform Prechecks app.
The business partners are then displayed under Repair Quotation Details (General Data) and Organizational Data in the Manage Repair Quotations app.

Use the following procedures that are provided in the standard settings for this Customizing activity. Do not change the partner functions for the procedures, because modified partner functions are not supported in In-House Repair:

  • REPA2001 (SAP In-House Repair (Header))
  • REPA2002 (SAP Repair Order (Header))
  • REPA2003 (SAP Repair Quotation (Header))

Note the following:

  • In the Partner Functions in Procedure view, define one partner for each partner function.
  • Do not set up multiple partners for a partner function, because you can only display a partner function once for a procedure.

  • Pre-configured functions that you define as mandatory (under Minimum) are not displayed as mandatory fields in the relevant In-House Repair apps (Manage In-House Repairs, Manage Repair Orders, Manage Repair Quotations).

  • Functions that you add in this Customizing activity are not displayed in the relevant In-House Repair apps (Manage In-House Repairs, Manage Repair Orders, Manage Repair Quotations). They are only used by the backend API.

  • For REPA2001 (SAP In-House Repair (Header)), you must not make any settings in the User Interface Settings view. This view is used to set up partner determination in the Parties Involved section or assignment block, which is not available for in-house repairs.

In the Define Transaction Types Customizing activity, assign the partner determination procedures to the relevant transaction types:

  • In-house repair: REPA2001
  • Repair order: REPA2002
  • Repair quotation: REPA2003
