In this Customizing activity, you set up text management to integrate text fields (notes) in in-house repairs and repair objects. The fields can be integrated in the following apps in In-House Repair:

  • Manage In-House Repairs
The text fields for in-house repairs are displayed on the In-House Repair Details screen (in-house repair header).
  • Perform Prechecks
The text fields for repair objects are displayed on the Perform Prechecks screen (in-house repair items (repair object)).

If you set up text management for In-House Repair, you must perform the instructions in this documentation that apply to the following Customizing activities in Customizing for Service:

This ensures that In-House Repair in SAP S/4HANA operates as expected.

For more information about the Customizing activities, see the documentation for the respective Customizing activity.

  1. Perform the Customizing activities in Customizing for Service under Basic Functions -> Text Management.
Note the following when you create text determination procedures for text fields in the Define Text Determination Procedure Customizing activity:
  • In-House Repair supports text determination procedures for the apps mentioned above.

  • The text fields that are configured for In-House Repair use the log-on language to create texts.

  1. Assign the text determination procedures that you have defined under Text Management in the relevant Customizing activities:

Assign the text determination procedure to the transaction type for in-house repairs.

Assign the text determination procedure to the item category for repair objects.
