Forms enable the composition of individual UI components and views by customizing alone. This enables the user to easily adapt the interface design to customer-specific requirements. The individual UI fragments can easily be exchanged or extended and adapted for project-related purposes.

A form includes a predefined behavior such as the presentation of a business object, the query of data and its presentation or the selection options for an object.

Different types of forms are available for this purpose.

  • Mask (FMK) - display of a UI view (component + window + inbound plug)
  • Overview mask (FOM) - combination of several masks (forms) (technical overview page) and common presentation
  • Tree/List (FTR) - Query data (via BOL query) and display in a tree or list (BOL tree)
  • Switch Mask (FSM) - Combination of several masks and representations of exactly one mask (form) according to a given calculation or switch (e.g. object type)
  • Tree/list mask (FTM) - combination of tree and switch mask, selection in the tree the switch mask is passed on

Define Form

In this section you specify the name and type of the form. In addition, you can use the Action Profiles column to specify which action options should be possible within the view. For more information, see Define Action Profiles.

Using the other structure nodes, you then have the option of defining the individual form types and how and where they are to be used.

Define Form Mask

In this section you use the previously defined forms and determine for which component and which window this form should be used as a simple mask.

Define Form Switch Mask

In this section you define which form uses a switch mask and use the Define Form Switch Mask Assignment entry to determine which of the forms can be switched between.

Define Form Overview

In this section you fine the display of the form for the overview. You can choose, whether a header is displayed and how the overview should look like. Via the entry Define Form Overview Assignment you determine, which subform is displayed on the overview page and in which ordner. You can also specify whether the initial display of the view should be direct ( expanded) or lazy (collapsed).

Define Form Tree

In this section you define which query object and group should be used in the form tree. In addition, in the Define Form Tree Parameters view, you can determine whether a parameter with certain values should be used, for example, to display a specific utilities sales contract.

Define Form Tree Mask

In this view you define which form tree is to be used with which form mask.

  • Overview mask: Utilities sales contract account:
