CRMS4_IU_IC_BOLTREE - Define Object Hierarchy and Object Attributes
General Data in Customer Master SUBST_MERGE_LIST - merge external lists to one complete list with #if... logic for R3upThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this Customizing activity, you define and maintain the tree structures (BOL trees -> BOL - Business Object Layer) that are displayed on the UI. A BOL tree is a hierarchy that is used to display and handle objects. It is very generic and can be used by many views.
The Customizing activity provides the following functions:
- Presentation of Nodes and Columns
- Define and Configure Profiles
- Define Toolbar Buttons and Parameters
- Define Columns
- Define Filters and Parameters
- Define Sorts and Parameters
- Define One-Click Actions and Parameters
- Profile Groups and Profile Group Assignment
Presentation of Nodes
You can define and maintain the representation of the nodes and the associated columns in the BOL tree. You can set the view of a tree structure to display different data about the objects.
You use presentation IDs to define the presentations of the various nodes in a BOL tree. The presentation ID uniquely identifies a presentation record within the tree hierarchy.
Presentation of Columns
You use presentation records with the associated column IDs to define the way in which the columns for the various nodes are displayed in a BOL tree. A presentation record determines which attributes and symbols are subsequently displayed in the tree hierarchy. You can also define which attributes are displayed as links and whether attributes can be edited in the editing mode.
Profiles
The BOL tree (Business Object Layer) is based on a customizable profile. This profile describes the structure and layout of the tree.
Buttons in the Toolbar
You can use one-click actions to start specific processes from a tree. You define and configure the toolbar buttons, which you can use to start one-click actions.
Define Columns
You define the columns in the BOL tree that belong to the nodes.
Specify Filters
You can filter and highlight specific objects from the search results list in the BOL tree. You can create and edit various filters that you want to use in the trees.
You define the filters that you want to use to search for objects in the trees. Using filters influences the way in which the results list works. The user can select the predefined filters from a drop-down menu in the tree or deactivate the filter function. It is also possible to specify a filter that is selected as a default setting.
Define a Sort Sequence
You can filter and highlight specific objects from the search results list in the BOL tree. You can create and edit various filters that you want to use in the trees.
You define the sort functions and the way in which the results of a search are displayed in the BOL tree. The user can select the predefined sort sequences from a drop-down menu in the tree or can deactivate the sort function. You can also specify a sort sequence that is to be used as a default.
Hierarchy
- One-Click Actions
You can use one-click actions to start specific processes from a tree. You can define one-click actions and specify their parameters.
- Define Filter Parameters
You define the parameters for the filter created under “Define Filter”.
- Define Sorting Parameters
You define the parameters for the sort sequence created under “Define Sorting”.
Profile Groups
You can use profile groups to combine various tree profiles. You can then assign views to these groups. If you for example assign the view Identification to a profile group, you can select the tree profiles that have previously been grouped in this profile group.
