SAP E-Book

Use this activity to allocate an action box configuration to a role. This makes calls from this action box configuration available in the portal, for users allocated to this role. The user starts the calls from the portal. A SAP GUI for HTML is used to display the calls in a separate browser window.

The tab page IS-U Transactions are available in the portal applications Accounts, Premise and Point of Delivery in the standard system.

Specify both the action box configuration and the logical system, in which the business objects that you process in the portal exist. The logical system generally refers to the IS-U system and the clients with which the CRM system is connected and synchronized, through the middleware.

The calls from the specified action box configuration are now available to the user. The call group allocated to the calls corresponds to the logical system and the object type of the business object processed in the portal. For more information, see the section Standard settings.

You have created an action box configuration as a context menu. The call groups in the action box configuration use the specified logical system.

The system uses the business objects processed in the portal as in the connected IS-U system. You identify the connected IS-U system by specifying the logical system.

Portal application Object type in IS-U system
Accounts ISUPARTNER
Premise PREMISES
Point of delivery ISUPOD

If you use other business object types in the IS-U system, or want to make calls available in separate portal applications, use the Business Add-In CRM_BSP_GPI and the method DETERMINE_BUSOBJ.

Point of delivery

Point of delivery

You want to use the portal to create a call for displaying the customer environment from the connected IS-U system (logical system PRDCLNT300) for users with the role SAP_PCC_KEY_ACCOUNT_MANAGER. You get the business partner from the selected account in the portal application Accounts.

To do this, you have created a call group GR1 in the action box configuration ABC, which refers to the business object type ISUPARTNER and the logical system PRDCLNT300. You have also created the call Display Customer Environment in call group GR1. This call executes the BOR method ISUBUSVIEW.PARTNERENVIRONMENT in the logical system PRDCLNT300. In the data flow, you transfer the context object to this call. This context object always indicates the business object that is being processed.

In this activity you now assign the action box configuration ABC and the logical system PRDCLNT300 to the role SAP_PCC_KEY_ACCOUNT_MANAGER. This means that, at runtime, the calls from call group GR1 are available to users with the role SAP_PCC_KEY_ACCOUNT_MANAGER in the portal application Account. The system also uses the key of the account selected in the portal (logical system PRDCLNT300) as the business partner key (business object type ISUPARTNER) in the IS-U system.
