In this IMG activity, you define device classes.
You use the device class to ensure uniform control of products with respect to their normal useful life and their categorization for asset accounting. The asset category is used in the CRM System for determining the asset class, in order to also determine depreciation, and thereby the net book value, for example at the end of the lease term.
The normal useful life is date-based.
Settings for device classes indicate asset categorization. You can define teh normal useful life for used and new materials.
