In this activity, you define the clarification case categories that are available during the creation of new clarification cases, along with any other data required for the creation of a new clarification case.

The Customizing for clarification cases must exist in the system under the Maintain Clarification Case CategoriesCustomizing node. You can find this Customizing under SAP Utilities → User Productivity → Billing Agent → Enhanced Message Management → Specifications for Generating Clarification Cases → Maintain Clarification Case Categories.

SAP provides several main objects as standard delivery. Additional main objects can be added if desired; however there are no standard case categories provided. You must define all the desired clarification case categories in the Maintain Clarification Case Categoriescustomizing.

Main Objects

In this section, you define all possible main objects that can be used within a clarification case category.

The SAP standard delivery provides the following main objects:

  • Contract Account
  • Business Partner
  • Contract
  • Point of Delivery
  • Premise

The following attributes are available:

  • Main Object ID: Descriptive identifier for the main object.
  • Object Short Description: Text which will be displayed in the Interaction Center to describe the main object
  • Component Name: The name of the component in which the BOL Object exists.
  • External Object Name: The name of the BOL object representing the main object. The External BOL Object is required for the mapping of the BOL Object to a BOR Object in certain scenarios.
  • BOR Object: The name of the BOR Object representing the main object. The BOR Object is required for the successful creation of a clarification case.

Case Categories

In this section, you define all the possible case categories allowed for the creation of clarification cases.

The following attributes are available:

  • Case Category: The name of the case category. It's important to ensure that the case category exists in the system; otherwise the creation will fail.
  • Case Category Text: Text which will be displayed in the Interaction Center to describe the case category
  • Main Object ID: The identifier of a main object as defined under the Main Objects view in the Clarification Case customizing. This main object must be the same as the main object assigned in the Customizing for clarification cases.

The remaining fields are not editable; they are prefilled using the Main Object ID customizing values from the Main Objects view in the Clarification Case customizing. The same Main Object ID can be reused within several Case Categories.

Note:It is important to know that no validation exists with the Customizing, so it is essential to ensure that the values correspond to the data provided in the system.
