In this Customizing activity, you define fund determination profiles for fund determination to ensure the budget from the appropriate fund is used for specific transactions. You do this by defining fund determination profiles and then assigning various match criteria to these profiles. For the system to determine a suitable fund, it can find matches using the following data:

• Sales organization

• Territory hierarchy

• Account hierarchy

• Product hierarchy

The product hierarchy search can be performed based on the product category or sales category. For more information, see the field help for the Categ.Search (Category Search) field.

• Marketing organization

You can only use the search criterion marketing organization in the marketing campaign scenario.

• Marketing plan hierarchy

You can only use the search criterion marketing plan hierarchy in the marketing campaign scenario.

Define Fund Determination Profiles

1. Define a fund determination profile name.
2. For each of the match criteria, select the level of match you require. For more information, see the field help.

Note: You can use top-down fund determination to distribute budget to subaccounts in the account hierarchy, for example, in budget transfers. The fund determination searches for funds that are assigned to the same account hierarchy node level, and to a specific account hierarchy node level down in the account hierarchy.

To define a fund determination profile for top-down fund determination for account hierarchy, you must enter either First Level Down, Second Level Down, or All Levels Down. To define a fund determination profile for the sales organization, territory hierarchy and the product hierarchy, you must enter either All Levels Up, Direct Match, or Ignore. If you select All Levels Up, the system performs the search from the current level to the levels above.
