In this activity you define the settings for grantor change process types. Change processes enable the system to automatically change a grantor object, for example, an application or a claim. The settings made here are read and used when a change process is performed.

You can make the following settings:

  • Application for Change Proc.: Specifies the application that the change process is linked to, for example, Grantor Agreement
  • Business Trans. Cat. Head: Specifies the header business transaction category, which is the header that is to be changed. The business transaction defines the business context in which a business transaction category or an item category can be used (for example, service, sales activity).
  • Business Trans. Categ. Item: Specifies the item category where the change process is to be executed. If this field is left empty, the process is linked to the header only. If you specify the category item, the change process is linked to the item only.
  • Change Process: Specifies the unique identifier of a change process type
  • Business Transaction: Specifies the business transaction that permits the change process to be executed. Before executing the change process, the system checks if this business transaction is allowed for the current status. If it is not allowed, the change process terminates with an error.
  • Document Flow: Specifies how the change process should be applied to the object:
  • New Object (header): A new header is created based on a copy of the existing one, which contains the changes

  • New item in the original object (header): A new item is created based on a copy of the existing one, which contains the changes

  • Inbound Change: The object (header/item) is updated directly

Creating new settings in this activity is not enough to create a new change process. You must code the behavior of the change process.

You may want to change the item validity in a grantor application, or change the validity period of an agreement for an item, or change the authorized amount for a grant.
