In this activity you define tasks and assign BRFplus functions to these tasks.

You can only assign BRFplus functions from an application with the same usage as the task.

The standard system contains the following tasks:

  • COMPETIT
Ths task is used to determine the competitor products displayed in the Product Finder and Configurator (PFC).
The BRFplus application usage for this task has to be PL (Product List) for this to function correctly.
The returning table must contain the result component IUR_PRODUCT_ID, regardless of the number of rows it contains, to ensure that it functions correctly.
  • DET_COMP
This task is used to determine the criteria used for the detailed comparison.
The BRFplus application usage for this task has to be DC (Detailed Comparison Attributes) for this to function correctly.
  • HD_DFLT
This task is used to define default header values for a business transaction document. This BRFplus function can for example define a default sold-to party, sales organisation, distribution channel, sales office, sales group or currency for the business transaction header.
The BRFplus application usage for this task has to be HD (Defaulting of Header Values) for this to function correctly.
  • PRC_DET
This task is used to determine price functions for a given product.
The BRFplus application usage for this task must be PM (Price Determination Manager) for this to function correctly. The BRFplus function assigned to this task returns one or more BRFplus price functions (BRFplus application usage PD [Price Determination]) which calculate prices for products for which no individual price function is defined in the Product Modeling for Utilities(PMU).
  • PDO
This task is used to determine the correct product determination object. The criteria used to make the decision can include the channel, the source that executes the determination process or the user ID.
The BRFplus application usage for this task has to be PL (Product List).
The returning table must contain the result component IUR_PRODUCT_ID, regardless of the number of rows it contains, to ensure that it functions correctly. Note that if the returning table contains more than one row, this triggers an error.
  • TOP_PROD
    This task is used to identify "top products" that are to be displayed independently of the product configuration attributes entered. These products can include the product of the month or a product used in one of the current marketing campaigns.
The BRFplus application usage for this task has to be PL (Product List) for this to function correctly.
The returning table must contain the result component IUR_PRODUCT_ID, regardless of the number of rows it contains, to ensure that it functions correctly.

Execute the following activities to assign a BRFplus function to a task

1. Choose a function profile with a valid assignment.

2. In the dialog structure, choose the folder "Assign BRFplus Functions" and assign a BRFplus function to the tasks

3. Save the assignment
