In this activity, for master data, you can define the following parameters:

  • Installed Bases
  • Objects/Products
  • Counters

Based on these parameters, master data will be downloaded from the CRM server to the middleware (DOE of SAP NetWeaver Mobile), or uploaded from the mobile device to the the CRM server.

These parameters are used by function modules to filter data for download scenarios during initial download from the CRM server to the DOE of SAP NetWeaver Mobilemiddleware.

For each of the above data, you can define the following:

  • History Values for Installed Bases and Installed Base Components

In order to view the number of transactions associated to the installed bases or installed base components, you can define the transaction history for these. The number of transactions that can be viewed on the mobile device is limited to 3, 5, or 10.

For example, if the installed base has been associated with 10 transactions and you have defined the transaction history parameter to 3, then only the recent (based on the posting date) 3 transaction history data will be available on the mobile device.

  • Exclusion Status for Installed Bases

You can choose to omit certain installed base data from being available on your mobile device by defining the exclusion status for these installed bases.

For example, if you do not want installed bases that have been assigned the status "Rejected" to be available on your mobile device, you can assign the appropriate exclusion status here.

  • Notes for Objects/Products

You can choose to add different types of notes like Basic Text, Inspection Text, Basic Eye-Catcher Text and so on for Objects and Products. Doing this will allow you to maintain these text types for your products and objects. You can maintain only one text type for each product or object.

  • Exclusion Status for Objects

You can choose to omit certain Objects from being available on your mobile device by defining the exclusion status for these objects.

For example, if you do not want objects that have been assigned the status "Lost" to be available on your mobile device, you can assign the appropriate exclusion status here.

  • Counter History

You can view on your mobile device the history of counter readings available for every counter by selecting 3, 5, or 10 readings.

For example, if the counter has more than 20 counter readings, then you can view the last 5 counter readings by selecting 5 as the counter history parameter.
