In this Customizing activity, you maintain BW systems, the corresponding reports, and KPIs that should be used. You also map the necessary SAP CRM attributes to SAP NetWeaver BW.

KPIs are used in the following areas in the calendar, in the WebClient UI:

  • In the form of tool tips and bar text in the calendar area
  • In the form of an additional bar under a marketing project in the calendar area (In the calendar control elements area, use Show -> KPIs. The KPI values are displayed below the corresponding marketing project)
  • In a marketing project cluster or structure.
You can group marketing projects based on KPI values that have predefined ranges. So when you search for marketing projects they are grouped by their KPI values. For this you also have to define the required cluster and grouping rule combination and add it to a structure. You then assign the structure to the required role.

Note: All these features require additional role-specific Customizing. For more information, see Define Role Settings.

As part of standard delivery, SAP maps the following SAP CRM attributes to SAP NetWeaver BW characteristics:

  1. List out the BW systems you use.
  2. List out the reports for each one of the BW systems. To do this, select the required BW system and choose BW Reports in the left navigation structure.
  3. List out the KPIs or key figures for each one of these reports. To do this, select the required report and choose KPIs in the left navigation structure.
  4. Once you have maintained this information, complete step Define Ranges for KPI Values.

Once you have completed Step 1, you can complete step Map SAP CRM Attributes to BW Characteristics - if you have additional attributes to map.
