In this Customizing activity, you maintain the final role-dependant step for various settings in the calendar.

SAP delivers the following business user roles:

  • Marketing Professional [MARKETINGPRO]
  • TPM Professional [TPM_PRO]
  • Trade Finance Professional [TRD_FIN_PRO]
  • Trade Claims Professional [TRD_CLM_PRO]

You have completed the necessary Customizing activities. The respective field input help specifies this information. Where applicable, this document also provides information about pre-requisite(s) in the following format: <For more information, see: >>.

Define Role Settings

In this folder you maintain the first of the role-specific settings. Double-click one of the five business user roles that SAP delivers. The settings you can make here include the following:
  • General settings such as the availability of the calendar in an editable mode, the split calendar, time period restrictions.

  • Search related settings such as the availability of the filter search, and advanced search areas, parameters that determine how tiles are grouped.

  • Result display related settings for the graphical display area of the calendar such as the default timescale, the default calendar structure that should be used, and so on.

Assign Calendar Control Elements

Here you maintain the tools that should be available in the calendar control elements area. As part of the standard delivery SAP provides: Zoom, Zoom In, Zoom Out, Split, Templates, Show, Color Scheme, Filter By, and Export to Excel.
When making this setting, consider the following: A field is not available if you have not assigned any entries to it. Say for example, you assign the Show dropdown listbox to a business user role. But you have not selected any entries for the dropdown list box. The Show dropdown list box is not displayed in the WebClient UI.

Note:The Legendand Print options which are also part of the calendar control elements area, are always available by default.

Specify Split Search Options

Here you specify the split search options that should be available with the user role. By default, the standard delivery Previous Year's Plan, is selected.
Enable Scrollingto synchronize scrolling of the split calendar area with that of the main calendar area.

Select Entries for the Show Dropdown List Box

As part of standard delivery, SAP provides the following for the marketing professional and trade promotion roles:
  • Additional Date Ranges

  • KPIs

Additionally, Trade Spends is available for the trade promotion roles.

Maintain Template Library Options

Here you can select templates from the template library. They will be available in the Templates dropdown list box in the calendar control elements area.
You can select templates from the following available options :
  • Campaign template library

  • My Campaign templates

  • Trade template library

The My Account Template entryis added during runtime, based on the search results. That is, if the current search result contains marketing projects that have planning accounts.
As part of standard delivery, SAP provides the following:
  • For the marketing professional role: Campaign Template Library,and My Campaign Templates

  • For the trade promotion roles: Trade Promotion Template Library,and My Trade Promotion Templates

Select Objects Allowed for Creation

Select the kind of marketing objects you want to allow a user to create directly in the calendar. For example, campaigns. This option is available via a context menu that you can access using the secondary mouse button, in the graphical display area of the calendar. Use input help to see descriptions of the marketing objects you can select.
As part of standard delivery, SAP provides the following:
  • For the marketing professional role: CPG (campaigns), MPL (marketing plans),and KTI (key timings)

  • For trade promotion roles: TPM (trade promotions), AGR (agreements),and MPL (marketing plans), KTI (key timings),and Deals

Assign Sub Objects
Once you have selected marketing objects for creation, you can assign sub objects that act as follow-up marketing projects. For example, if you have selected Marketing Plans at the parent level, you can assign Marketing Plan Elementas a sub object.

Assign Filter Search Tiles

Select the filter search tiles that should be available with the business role, the default order in which they should appear, and for each tile specify the default expansion level of the hierarchy of entries.
As part of standard delivery, SAP provides the following
  • For the marketing professional role: Time, Products,and Marketing Plan

  • For trade promotion roles: Time, Accounts, Products, Agreements,and Marketing Plan

Assign Clusters

Here you specify the clusters and the order in which they should be available.
As part of standard delivery, SAP provides the following:
  • For the marketing professional role: Media, Consumer, Direct Marketing, Loyalty Campaigns,and Co-Marketing

  • For trade promotion roles: Key timings; Trade; Media,and Consumer

Assign Structures

Assign the required structures and indicate if the structure should be available in the main calendar, or split calendar, or both.
As part of standard delivery, SAP provides the following:
  • For the marketing professional role: Type View (MKT),and Marketing Project Hierarchy

  • For trade promotion roles: Type View (TPM), Account - Product - Type View,and Fund - Account - View

Maintain Tooltip and Bar Texts

For each marketing project category and type, use the attribute group to specify the attributes that are displayed in tool tips and bar texts.
As part of standard delivery, SAP provides the following
  • For the marketing professional role: Bar Text: GRP1; Tooltip: GRP2 (valid for CP, MPL, KT)

  • For trade promotion roles: Bar Text: GRP1; Tooltip: GRP2 (valid for TP, KT, AGR, and Deals)

Define Default Date Ranges

Here you specify the date ranges to be displayed for selected marketing object categories and types, and the display design.
  • You can choose up to five additional date ranges for each marketing project category. You can also specify, for example, that these date ranges should appear in the form of rectangles with rounded corners.

  • You have selected Additional Date Rangesin Define Role Settings -> Select Entries for the Show Dropdown List Box.

As part of standard delivery, SAP provides the following
  • For the marketing professional role: Enrollment, Preparation Phase, Execution Phase,and Analysis Phase

  • For trade promotion roles: Buying; Pre-Dip,and Post-Dip

Assign Form View Options

Select from the following options:
  • Key Timings

Displays all the key timing objects in the current search result in the form view.
  • Related projects - Cluster

When you double-click a project bar, this option displays information about that corresponding cluster - so information about all the project bars within the same cluster, are displayed in the from view.
  • Related projects - Overlap

When you double-click a project bar, this option displays information about all other project bars where the timeframe overlaps with the one you clicked - for a given search result.
  • Structure: Displays information about all projects in the search result.

Enable Navigation during Marketing Proj Creation

Here you specify how the application behaves when performing the following actions: create, copy, drag and drop from split calendar, and drag and drop from a template.
  • If the check box for an action is enabled, as soon as you perform this action in the WebClient UI, the application navigates to the overview page of the corresponding marketing project.

The user can perform the chosen action in the marketing project, and navigate back to the calendar.
  • If the checkbox for an action is not enabled, as soon as you perform this action in the WebClient UI, a project bar is created in the graphical display area of the calendar.

The user can change only the dates of the marketing project and save.
By default, all the checkboxes are enabled for all the standard roles. You can change this.

Select Categories and Types for KPI Display

Assign KPIs
Here you assign marketing object categories and marketing project types to the required business role and specify which of the KPIs should be available to the user.

Assign Additional Buttons

You can define additional buttons for the integrated marketing calendar in the Customizing activity Define Additional Buttons. You can then assign the additional buttons to a business role. The buttons will be available on the WebClient UI for users who are assigned to this business role.
