In this Customizing activity, you maintain the calendar structure and the filter attributes for that structure.

  • The structure defined here is available to the left of the graphical display area of the calendar, in the WebClient UI.
  • The attributes are available in the Filter By dropdown list box of the calendar control elements area in the WebClient UI.

A structure contains combinations of clusters with grouping rule or views you have defined. Structures are based on clusters. The structure you assign to a business user role determines how that user can finally visualize rows and bars in the graphical display area of the calendar.

Consider the following when formulating structures for a business user role:

  • Level of information the user requires.
For example, a user who needs only an overview about the sales and marketing activities does not require a multilevel structure.
  • How the user works with the calendar.
For example, a user who implements planning activities requires a detailed structure with clearly defined grouping rules or rules so that it is clear how a marketing strategy is going to be executed.

You have made the required Customizing settings under Customer Relationship Management → Marketing → Marketing Planning and Campaign Management → Integrated Marketing Calendar:

  • Settings for Clusters
  • Settings for Combination of View or Grouping Rule and Cluster

As part of standard delivery, SAP provides the following structures and filter attributes:

Structure ID Structure Description
ACC_PROD_TYPE Account - Product - Type View
FUND_ACCOUNT Fund - Account - View
HIERARCHY_VIEW Marketing Project Hierarchy
TYPE_VIEW_MKT Type View
TYPE_VIEW_TPM Type View

TYPE_VIEW_TPM
  1. Define a structure with a suitable description.
  2. Select the structure and choose Define Structure Hierarchyin the left navigation structure. Maintain information about which clusters, which combinations, and the default settings that apply to each cluster in a structure.
  3. Select the filter attributes that should be available for the structure. This applies to the entire structure.

Note: You also have to assign this structure to the required business user role so it is available in the WebClient UI.
