In this Customizing activity, you apply settings to integrate funds management functions into your campaigns. This allows you to better track budgets required to run the campaign, and costs incurred during the execution of the campaign.

You can now do the following:

  • Set the fund association level
  • Select a fund determination profile
  • Map the expense type to the accrual profile
  • Apply settings for an availability check
  • Determine in which setting the budget for campaigns is prereserved or reserved.

You have completed the Customizing activities for Funds Management. You can find this under the Customizing path Customer Relationship Management → Funds Management.

You must specify settings in the following folders and columns:

  • Integration Profile Definition and Association Level
  • Define an integration profile and choose the level at which the funds are associated to the campaign.

,,Note: This integration profile must be included in the specific attributes of campaign types relevant for the funds management scenario in Define Types/Objectives/Tactics.

  • Fund Determination Profile
  • Select a fund determination profile to determine what funds are available for a given campaign.

  • Funds Plan Date Range
  • Select a funds plan date range to determine what funds are available within a given date range.

Note: The available selections here correspond to date ranges set up for the campaign and become a required entry when creating a campaign. For example, if you select Plan here, then an entry for the plan date range is required when creating a campaign. When associating a funds plan to the campaign, you can only select funds plans available during the date range you select here. The campaign dates should be contained within the funds plan fiscal period.

  • Define Posting Status
  • Select a status value for the campaign. Both system and user statuses are available.

  • Select a value category for the fund usage. This is used to determine in what category (reserved or prereserved) the fund usages are generated as the status of the campaign changes.

Note: A value category can be reused for any system or user status if those statuses are defined with different status profiles. This allows you to use the same integration profile for different campaign types and to trigger the fund postings based on the system or user statuses used in those campaigns.

  • Define Availability Control (AVC) Profiles
  • Select the value category for the fund usage, and an AVC Profile ID.

  • Define Accrual Settings
  • Select the expense type, the accrual profile, and the accrual date range that belong to the expense type.

  • The accrual profile is used when generating fund usages. If Accrual Profile is left blank, then there will be no accrual for this expense type and its related marketing spend.

Note: Although you calculate and post accruals in SAP CRM, you must enter an account key and an accruals / provisions key for all of the condition types that are part of your SAP ERP pricing procedure. In the campaign context, only NB_DAYS and Fixed_DT are relevant. For more information on accrual profiles, see Define Accrual Profiles.
