SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity you use eligibility determination profiles to define the strategies used to evaluate eligibility periods within the decision period for a social service plan (SSP).

You assign the eligibility determination profiles defined here to the relevant SSP transaction types in the Customizing activity Define Transaction Types.

Note:
Eligibility periods in a SSP can either be created manually by the caseworker or automatically from the rules or the BAdI implementation defined in the eligibility determination strategy.

SAP provides the following input parameters for your eligibility determination strategy, which you can use to evaluate the eligibility periods:

  • GUID for the social service plan
  • Decision period
  • Main partner (as beneficiary data)
  • GUID for the latest social application

Your eligibility determination strategy should provide one or more eligibility periods that do not overlap with statuses 'E' for 'eligible'and 'N' for 'not eligible'as an output parameter.
You can display the system response for the eligibility determination as a message, for example, the way in which the eligibility status is defined. For more information about creating customer-specific messages, see SAP Library under Maintaining Messages.

You can define the eligibility determination strategy using Business Rules Framework plus (BRFplus) or Business Add-In (BAdI) technology:

  • BAdI
You use the BAdI CRM_PS_ELD_BADI to create the eligibility determination strategy.
SAP delivers an example BAdI implementation CL_CRM_PS_ELD_CALL_BADI_EX that includes the example source code for a business partner-based decision, a SOA-based decision or a SSP-based decision. For more information, see the BAdI documentation.
  • BRFplus
Social Services supports the usage of SAP NetWeaver Decision Service Management (DSM). To use DSM-based rules, you must select the checkbox Use DSM.
You use the following BRFplus objects to create the eligibility determination strategy as a BRFplus rule:
Input
CONTEXT_ELD Mandatory name of BRFplus object for eligibility determination on SSP
CRMS_PS_4S_BRFP_ELD_CONTXT BRFplus context (DDIC structure)
Output
CRMT_PS_ELIG_PERIOD_RESULT BRFplus context (DDIC table) as result eligibility determination
