CRMVC_ROL_ITYP_M - Map Report Areas to Business Role

In this Customizing activity, you can assign the relevant CRM and BI interactive report areas to a business role. One report area can be assigned to multiple business roles. For example, campaigns reports can be assigned to both the sales professional and marketing professional roles.

On the report search page, when a user selects Report Area, only the report areas that have been assigned to that user's business role are available for filtering. Also, when a user creates a report and selects a business role with which to share the report, the report area options are refreshed with those that have been mapped to this business role. The user can only create reports from one of the report areas that have been mapped to the selected business role.

You have defined a business role in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) by choosing Business Roles -> Define Business Role.

1. Select a business role.
2. Double-click CRM Interactive Report Areas.
3. Maintain the list of CRM interactive report areas to be mapped to the business role you have selected. To add new entries, click New Entries.
4. Double-click BI Interactive Report Areas.
5. Maintain the list of BI interactive report areas to be mapped to the business role you have selected. To add new entries, click New Entries.
6. Save your entries.
