In this Customizing activity you define which partner determination procedure you want to assign to a trade promotion agreement. The partner determination procedure controls which partners can be assigned to an agreement.

You may only assign one partner determination procedure to an object class of type agreement.

If you have not assigned a procedure, you will be able to assign partners if the agreement has the status Createdbut you will not be able to release it.

You are also able to assign partners to an agreement even if they are not included in a partner determination procedure but again, you will not be able to change this status without receiving error messages. If the status is anything other than Created, you can no longer assign partners that do not belong to one of the assigned procedures.

You have defined your partner determination procedures in the Customizing activity Define Partner Determination Procedure.
