In this IMG activity, you can set the number of decimal places for tax calculation of a Plant. This tax amount for a Plant in the CRM system corresponds to the tax amount that is calculated for a Branch (Business Place) in the R/3 system.

Note:

  • The decimal places that you maintain here for the Plant must be synchronized with the decimal places maintained for the Branch (Business Place) in the R/3 system, otherwise it may lead to inconsistencies in the system. Since this is manual process, you should take extra care to maintain the same number of decimal places in the R/3 and CRM systems.
  • In order to minimize the occurence of different unit prices, you are recommended to maintain a higher number of decimal places. Higher the number of decimal places, more precise is the tax calculation.
  • Once you have maintained this entry, you should not change it frequently. This is because you need to restart IPC each time you change this entry, for the system to take new data in tax calculation.
  • To restart the IPC, execute the following IMG actvity: Cross-Application Components -> Transaction Tax Engine -> Utilities -> Immediate Customizing Refresh.

Execute this activity only after Plant data transfer from R/3 system to CRM system has taken place.

  1. Select New Entries.
  2. Select the Plant using F4 help in the BPartner field.
  3. Enter the Location.
  4. Select the number of decimal places.
  5. Save your entries.
  6. Restart the IPC.
