In this activity you define which events are permitted in which business transactions. You assign an event to the Business Rule Framework (BRF), a business transaction category, a transaction type, and an item category in CRM.

If an event is not assigned to a business transaction category, transaction type, or item category, it is not permitted anywhere.

1. Choose an application class.
2. Only the events that are valid for the application class you choose here are displayed. Choose the event that you want to assign to a business transaction.
3. Enter the required business transaction category, and, if necessary, the transaction type and item category.

If you choose - in field Item Category, the event is only permitted for the transaction header, and not for items. If you only assign one business transaction category to your event, the event applies for all transaction types and item categories that are valid for this business transaction category.

1. Decide whether you want to allow or explicitly exclude the event for the combination of business transaction category, transaction type, and item category.
