In this activity you can calculate prices in connection with change processes when making contract changes in provider orders, using the events of the Business Rules Framework (BRF).

The use of the BRF makes it possible to merge multiple events (such as product change and contract extension) and transfer them as the single-value attribute "pricing process" to pricing.

You have defined pricing processes in the activity Define Pricing Processes for Provider Orders.

SAP delivers the event 0PRC_01, which you can use as a reference for your own BRF events. The delivered event contains the events cancellation, extension and product change.

You define pricing processes that will have an effect on pricing and use these pricing processes in your condition tables. The field IST_Process - Process is contained in the pricing field catalog for this purpose, which you can include in your own condition tables.

You define a BRF event by implementing the check of the pricing processes.

In the truth table of the BRF event you determine that when the event (cancellation, for example) is carried out, the previously defined pricing process is found. For this purpose, you enter the pricing process in the truth table field Result.

You can operate the standard event 0PRC_01 as follows:

A contract extension should have an effect on the price of product "A":

  1. You define the pricing process "Extension"
  2. You create a condition table with the field Pricing Process.
  3. You use this condition table as part of the maintenance of product "A" and the maintenance of the corresponding condition.
  4. You define a BRF event for the pricing process. Maintain the rule (in the form of the truth table) accordingly within the BRF event. This means that when an extension has taken place (when the event for the extension is carried out), the previously defined pricing process is found in all cases, no matter which other processes are being carried out in parallel.

Result

The provider order automatically includes the BRF event for the pricing process.
