SAP E-Book

In this activity, you define the tags that determine the results of tag expressions.

SAP provides specific classes for defining the tags you require. You specify the reading of particular result values in Customizing for a tag via the tag's hierarchical relationship (see Define Tag Hierarchies) and by assigning suitable runtime attributes. For the four business transaction classes provided by SAP, you can use any transaction segment or transaction attribute from the CRM business transaction as runtime attributes. Note that the name of the runtime attribute must be the same as the technical name of the segment or attribute.

Tags whose classes (for example, CL_CRM_BRF_TAG_READ_BP) return a structure and not fields as a result are a special case. These tags contain complex results and have to be specified more precisely using a tag of the class CL_CRM_BRF_TAG_READ_FIELD. In addition, for tag expressions that use these classes, you can employ tag criteria or theformula editor to restrict specific results from a structure.

For more information about the various tag classes, call the relevant class documentation from the overview.
