CRMV_DAM_STATACT - Define Digital Asset- and Security Status

You use this IMG activity to create the status for Digital Asset Management (DAM) and assign attributes to this status. To see the statuses that you can use, use the input help (F4) in the user status field.

You have created a status profile for DAM in the IMG activityDefine Status Profile for User Status:

• Assign the status profile to the DAM object type.

• Within this status profile, create the user status for DAM. This status is assigned later to DIGITAL ASSET STATUS and SECURITY STATUS.

• Do not use a status number because this is not supported within DAM.

• A status should be flagged as initial in the IMG activity "Define Digital Asset Status and Security Status" and not under "Change Status Profile for User Status".

No statuses are defined in the standard system. However, there is a BC set (BC set ID: CRM_DAM_STATUS) that you can activate to create 'default Customizing'.

When you activate the BC set, the system creates a status profile and assigns attributes for the status. You can make adjustments later.

If you do not use the BC set, you can also create and adjust the status in this IMG activity.

Pay attention to the following points:

• The number of user statuse with status type DIGITAL ASSET STATUS and SECURITY STATUS are user-definable.

• Create two statuses, of DIGITAL ASSET STATUS and SECURITY STATUS status type, for both of which you set an INITIAL flag. A digital asset gets these statuses automatically when it is uploaded. However, a digital asset can no longer assume the initial status if it has already had another status.

• Create a status with an ACTIVE, obsolete flag and expiry date.
