SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity, you define the entity types and you also establish the relationship of an Application Enhancement Tool (AET) enhancement to an entity type using the generated AET enhancement ID.

If you have defined deep table structures in the AET, you must mirror this structuring in the entity type definitions. You mirror the AET structure in the entity type definition by using the field Superior Entity Type. This produces an entity type tree with a top entity type.

The short text you define for the entity type description is used in the Decision Basis Explorer assignment block in the WebClient UI to describe the entities.

Reuse of Entity Types

The settings for entity types are cross-client and are therefore available in all of your clients. The defined entity types can be reused in different decision basis models. The reuse of entity types that are structured using deep tables is restricted to the reuse of the complete entity type tree. Entity types without superior entity types can also be reused in several models as top entity types.

Details for Decision Basis Process Step Definition

For each entity type created, by choosing Details, you can display additional AET information about the context structure and the deep table type, which you require for your decision basis process steps definitions using business add-ins or BRFplus.

  • The system client you choose to define the entity types supports cross-client maintenance.
  • You have defined the AET enhancements.

For more information about AET enhancements and entity types for decision basis modeling, see the Social Services application help under Decision Basis Modeling.
