In this IMG activity, you define reference interest rates and create reference interest profiles. You save reference interest profiles in the financial service product in the set type CRM_PROD_FS007 Payment Structurefor each flow category.

If variable payments were agreed for your quotation, these may change during the term of the lease in line with the development of market interest rates. The interest rates are based on a reference interest rate that is entered in the financial service product using the reference interest profile.

The market data management functions available in the SAP system include a datafeed interface. You can use this interface to automatically import a selection of current financial market data into the SAP system using SAP Service Marketplace. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for ERPunder Financial Supply Chain Management -> Treasury and Risk Management -> Basic Functions -> Market Data Management -> Datafeed.

To make the interest rates available in the SAP CRM system, you must create a Customizing object for Middleware data exchange. You can then transport the contents of the Define Reference Interest Ratesactivities from the SAP ERP system to the SAP CRM system.

  1. In Define Reference Interest Rates, create the required interest reference ID or load this into the CRM system.
  2. Enter the interest rates for the reference interest rates you defined, along with the date from which this interest rate is effective.
  3. In Define Reference Interest Profile, create the reference interest profiles and for each profile enter:
  • IDand Description

  • Interest Reference ID

  • Clip Level
Defines how much the reference interest rate has to change in order to adjust the interest rate in the contract.

  • Offset
This is added to the reference interest rate.

  • Rounding Unit
Defines how the interest rate is rounded.

  • Rounding Category
    Defines the type of rounding.
