CRMV_IC_ALT_MODE - Define Communication Processing Profiles

You can use this Customizing activity to define a communication processing profile. You can choose a processing mode for either real-time alerts or user-triggered alerts. When you enable real-time alerts, the system continually polls the server to see whether there is an alert. When you enable user-triggered alerts, on the other hand, the system waits until the user triggers an event to perform a server round-trip to check for alerts.

By default, real-time alerts are enabled.

Choose a processing mode.

Choose SAM to use real-time alerts or ROUNDTRIP to use user-triggered alerts.

Once you have defined a communication processing profile, assign it to your business role in the Customizing activity Define Business Role.
