In this activity, you define controlling for the copying of item categories. You do this by entering a source item category for the solution quotation, a sales document type and a target item category for the sales order.
Maintaining the copying control table for the item category is mandatory for the creation of a sales order from a solution quotation. Once you have maintained this table, the corresponding item category is automatically entered in the Item Categoryfield during order creation, and the system checks the settings in Customizing.
