In this Customizing activity, you define the identification profiles for the technical component IUICMD (identification and master data) in the IC WebClient. Make the settings for the following attributes:

  • Authorization to Create Person
    This attribute controls whether the pushbutton used to create persons is visible on the user interface.

  • Authorization to Create Contact Person/Related Account
    This attribute controls whether the pushbutton used to create contact persons is visible on the user interface.

  • Authorization to Create Organization
    This attribute controls whether the pushbutton used to create organizations is visible on the user interface.

  • Authorization to Create Group
    This attribute controls whether the pushbutton used to create groups is visible on the user interface.

  • Authorization to Create Contract Account
    This attribute controls whether the pushbutton used to create contract accounts is visible on the user interface.

  • Standard business partner grouping, assigned when a business partner is created
    This setting influences the distribution of persons in the system, since this grouping is used to determine the number range.

  • Standard business partner type, assigned when a business partner is created

  • BP-Role 1 on creation of business partner

  • BP-Role 2 on creation of business partner

  • BP-Role 3 on creation of business partner

  • Automatic confirmation of objects (business partner, contact person, contract account, technical objects) when search results are unique

  • Automatic follow-on search for dependent objects (business partner, contact person, contract account, technical objects) after successful confirmation of another object

  • Search query used to find business partners

  • Activation of the enhanced identification function including both IS-U BOL tree profile groups, which are used to display the business and technical master data

  • Show last interaction records
    This attribute controls whether the list of last interaction records is visible on the user interface.

  • Tax number category
    This attribute indicates the tax number category that is associated with the tax number field on the Identification page for a North American organization. If it is not maintained, the Tax Number field on the Identification page is disabled.

The identification profile UTIL has been assigned to the user roles UTIL_IC and UTIL_IC_REG using the function profile IUICMD. This supports the creation of persons, contact persons, organizations and contract accounts as standard. The profile UTIL supports both the automatic confirmation of objects and the automatic associated search for dependent objects. In the identification profile UTIL the search query BuilHeaderSearchNew is used to find business partners.

This profile automatically activates the enhanced identification function and uses the workbench profiles IUICMD_BP and IUICMD_TO to do so.

The identification profile DEFAULT delivered as standard is only used automatically if function profile IUICMD is not assigned to the user role of the call center agent.
