CRMV_KBASE_MAP - Define Knowledge Base Implementation for Chat

In this Customizing activity, you can maintain the knowledge base implementation for the chat function in the Interaction Center (IC). The knowledge bases that are available to agents while using chat in the IC are defined here. If you have created your own knowledge base, you can also define it here.

• You have defined a chat profile in the Customizing activity Define Chat Profiles.

• You have made settings for the briefcase in the Customizing activity Define Briefcase.

• You have made the necessary settings to configure knowledge bases for use with chat.

To add a new knowledge base for use in chat, choose New Entriesand define the following:

• Name of the knowledge base you have created

• Attribute structure

This determines the advanced search criteria.

• Implementation class

• Object type

• Briefcase ID

This is the ID of the briefcase you have defined in the Customizing activity Define Briefcase.

• Logical link between the briefcase and briefcase profile

This is the logical link you have defined in the Customizing activity Define Briefcase.

• External object name

You can use this to identify your knowledge base.
