In this IMG activity, you can make additional settings for the planning profile. With this activity, you can specify the time distribution and type of changes when the planning applications (opportunity, marketing planner, account planner) start and end date is changed for each planning profile.

For more information on flexible time distrubution types, see Define Time Distribution Types.

Choose the planning application for which you want to maintain the planning profile settings. For each profile, set the time distibution type and the time horizon changes.

For example, you can specify that the planning data should be redistributed if the planning application start or end date is changed, as follows:

The planning application starts in January, and ends in March and the planned data is :

January 300

February 300

March 300

If the start date is then changed to Februray, the planning data is redistributed, and the total is retained as follows:

Februray 450

March 450

If you specify that the planning data should not be redistributed, the planning data for the above example would look as follows:

February 300

March 300

You can also specify that when, for example, the planning data for a quarter is entered, the total data for this quarter is distributed between months, according to the number of days, as follows:

Data (100) is entered for the quarter 1/2004, and is distributed as follows:

January: 34.44 (31 / (31+28+31)

February: 31.11 (28 / (31+28+31)

March: 34.44 (31+28+31)
