In this Customizing activity, you set the maximum number of items that a collective claim may contain.

This setting is important in trade promotions set up for the multi-account scenario. When the claims analyst validates claims for these trade promotions, the number of claim items to be created can be very high, which has a negative impact on performance and usability. In this scenario, it makes sense to split claim processing into several claims.

When, from the account hierarchy or target group set at planning level, the claims analyst adds validated accounts to the claim and confirms his selection, a decision popup is displayed. If at this point the resulting number of claim items to be created has surpassed the number set in this Customizing activity, the claims analyst can choose whether to override this number and continue adding the selected accounts or whether to cancel processing and return to the claim.
