In investigations, the various usages of codes are indicated by the code type.

In this Implementation Guide (IMG) activity, you indicate for investigations under which code type the code groups that you created previously should be accessed.

The following code types exist in investigations:

  • Reason for investigation
This code type documents why the investigation workflow was started by automatic actions.
  • Document decision
Decisions that were reached, such as the approval or decline of an item, as well as resubmissions by customers, or automatic execution of business rules triggering the investigation, are recorded in the form of codes. A log of all the decisions that were made is kept in the dialog transaction for investigations. The following code types exist for decision codes:
  • Automatic Decision

  • Customer Decision (Portal)

  • Manual Decision

  • Reason for decline
Items that are declined automatically or manually but do not yet have status I1005 - Completed are displayed for customers in the Portal. In this case, the customer has the option to either resubmit the item or confirm the declined item. Information about why the item was declined is also part of the Declined status, in this respect. The reason for decline is also recorded using codes. Since the decline can either happen via automatic actions or via an agent in the investigation workflow, the following two code types exist:
  • Reason for Automatic Decline

  • Reason for Manual Decline

  • Identification of responsible agent groups
If an investigation is triggered by automatic execution of business rules, the system gives the workflow information about which agent group should be responsible for the analysis. This happens using a code with type Identification of Agent Groups.

You define an agent group and want to assign an identification code to it. IMG activity Define Agent Groups only displays the identification codes that are from the code groups that you registered here as code type Identification of Agent Groups.
